FAQ
Who is eligible for catch-up?
Currently, the calculator only supports employees (with pension fund/BVG). Support for self-employed will be added later.
Why is the result an estimate?
The calculation is simplified and does not account for all individual deductions and circumstances. The result is intended as guidance, not for precise planning. For accurate calculations, consult a tax advisor.
Why do cantonal and federal taxes differ?
In Switzerland, the tax system consists of three levels: federal, cantonal, and municipal. Each level has its own rates and rules, so savings at each level may differ.
Why might the result differ from other calculators?
Different calculators may use different assumptions, data versions, and methodologies. Small differences are normal.
